Absolutely lovely!

Should you? Would you? Could you?

You should watch this one (YES! )
You would recommend this to others. (YES!)
You could watch this again. (YES!)
Ending: Happy

For poetry lovers, this is one treat. I loved the way the poetry is weaved into each episode. The story revolves around the female protagonist who gives up her dream of studying literature and becoming a poet and instead chooses to become a physiotherapist to support herself. It is her journey of rejections and optimism and finally finding her true love. While it is set in a hospital, the focus is more on relationships than actual cases but that really doesn’t take the charm away. Let’s just call it a romantic drama within a backdrop of a hospital (yes, that’s more apt).
All the actors are good. The comic element via Defconn’s indecisiveness is hilarious.
The chemistry between the lead pair is awesome. But the story sits on Lee Yu Bi’s shoulders and she is a winner through and through.
It’s a delightful watch for those who enjoy a soft romance without any major upheavals. It’s fun, it's emotional, it's light and it's enjoyable.

This was a light and innocent show about nothing 'spectacular'....but it was sweet and touching, so I'm rating it an 8 because it was still unique in its own way. Although it's got a medical setting (the main characters are physical therapists), I wouldn't call it a medical drama. Perhaps the idea of the characters being physical therapists is a way of showing that healing is sometimes a journey.

I enjoyed all the characters and the glimpse into their ordinary lives. The poems that they included with certain scenes really went well with the stories they showed in each episode. It seems as though they wrote a lot of the stories around each poem, but they did it in a natural way that tugged at your heartstrings. I thought the premise sounded quite odd when I read the synopsis, but it turned out really nice. There were misunderstandings amongst the characters and that seemed to be the basis for a lot of the drama, and characters would have to reflect on themselves for judging a situation too quickly and without all the facts.
While I thought that a couple of the characters weren't as fleshed out as they could have been, we did get to take a peek at most of them and find something to relate to in each one. I liked the relationships between the co-workers - the friendships that developed and how they learned to care for one another. I loved that each of the main characters had their own little 'catchphrase' as it brought some humor to the show. But the characters, while interesting, were also shallowly developed in a way, so there was something just a bit lacking to me in that area.
I enjoyed the light bit of romance (there is a bit of a love triangle, but still nothing overly dramatic), and I was happy with who Woo Bo Young ended up with.

If you are looking for a relaxing show to watch to ease your mind and not have any overwhelming angst and heavy drama, then this is a perfect show for that. I think it's mostly about human relationships and understanding others. I'm happy I decided to watch it and I would recommend it! I think if you are not into the 'slice of life' style of show, you may find this slow paced or boring.

the story setup was so unique as was the characters and their backstories. but i can think of a million things that could have made this drama better.

i feel like a lot of time went into characters that brought virtually nothing to the central story/characters. i really hated watching the radiologists cause i couldn't understand what role they had to play in the story it honestly felt so pointless that i started skipping through all of their scenes lol. all of that time spent on those characters could have been put into developing the main characters and their story.

like lemme talk about doctor ye real quick. i feel like there was too much room left for development with him. he was such an interesting character but i hardly felt a connection because he stayed the same throughout. i really really enjoyed the scenes where he tried to change and actually attempted to act like a normal human. it was cute and funny and dare i say heartwarming. until he went back to being his same old robotic self. what was the point?

i also feel like there was too little time spent on developing his and boyoung's relationship before they got together. my guy literally came out of nowhere saying he liked her and my ass wasn't convinced. they spent too much time on boyoung x minho and too little on boyoung x doctor ye. i didn't feel anything with their relationship :(

with a lot of the characters and relationships in this story i felt no connection and it lacked the depth that it presented at face value. this is because, as i previously said, they spent too little time on the characters and relationships that actually mattered.

i can't say i was disappointed or anything idk how i feel truly. if i had to describe this drama in one word it'd be gentle. i like what they tried to present in this drama and as much as there were good things about this drama, there was just as much wasted potential.

PLOT: There is not really a plot in this drama; it's more a setting in the everyday life of physiotherapists combined with a poem adjusted for each episode. The poems indeed - apart from the quirky humour (I laughed a lot) - were the parts I liked the most about this drama. As a fan of reading myself, I finally got the chance to get to know some Korean poetry, which also inspired me to write my own.
CHARACTERS: Cute. And Awkward. And just adorable. I normally don't emphasize too much on the romance, but the (healthy!) relationship in this drama had me honestly squealing. I'd like some 'advice' on where to find a man like Doctor Ye now, please!
SCENERY / MUSIC: Most of the drama plays (obviously) in a hospital, but there were some other scenes that gave me a nice and calming vacation feeling. For the music - very pleasant, I liked it a lot!

Would recommend to someone who: is in need of a few good laughs | is not in the mood for unnecessary drama or too much action | likes poetry or wants to give it a try | wants fluffy feels

The first few episodes were great, but it feels like the drama had too many relationships and problems to take care of, resulting in landing on a weird place.

Each characters had unique backgrounds, and the drama exposed them really well. Misunderstanding in the past, refusal, infertility, poverty, children, family, cheating... these things were included and were revealed in a positive way.
HOWEVER, it just ended with the reveal.
Basically, the directors threw in those interesting factors, but they forgot to pick them all up in the end. They only took care of the love triangle. I had questions while watching it, like:
What about their relationship? What happened to his dream? What was the point of having that scene if you are not touching it again anymore?
For me, it was quite disappointing.

Story: As I said, fun until the last few episodes, and went MIA. Didn't have any remarks or excitement. If you like poems, then this drama is for you.

Acting/Cast: Good choice, but nothing more.

Music: Matches the poem.

Rewatch Value: Good source of finding an interesting poem. However, it might be different when you read the English subtitles.

Overall: It was a good relaxing drama. I was watching parallel with "The Great Seducer", which was quite negative, this drama was "healed" me. However, this drama lacked excitement, that some viewers may find this boring.

Very different story.it is very slow and light drama but I don't think so it is boring because there are funny moments in between like perplexed person concept, then 10 years ago story and can I give you an advice ,I am kidding such dialogues balance the drama .story revolves around love triangle, jeolousy, misunderstanding, family problem, pursue for dreams etc.
There is no music but recitation of a poem per episode according situation well suited.
In this there is sweet and simple love Story? where partners don't know how to express their feelings to each other ...Ending of drama I don't like it they may show a leap of a year where everyone achieve their dream with ending of marriage of dr.ye and Be young where min ho and nam woo are with their girlfriend then it seems to be happy ending.
Each and every character acting were just amazing.
As a whole light ,sweet and simple story.

Finally Lee Joon Hyuk in a primarily romantic drama, and he's the lead??!! yes please.

Story:
Plot turned out to be quite simple there was no big conflict to overcome like in many dramas. It did focus less on the medical aspect. It was more chosen as a background setting for a rom-com. An easy drama to easily breeze through. Focused more on typical day-to-day situations one faces. Leaned more on the realistic side at times which I liked. I wasn't forced to skip because I felt absolutely no dragging or filler episodes, something new happened all the time. Script and conflicts seemed repetitive, unsure if it was intentional. Different characters affect by similar situations always brought up and resolved the same way. It was a a surface-level type of drama with a little bit of everything.

Acting/Cast:
The leads' scenes were very wholesome especially seeing the ML change as he became more expressive and open towards the FL . Chemistry occasionally lacked, and their contrasting personas didn't help at all as it made it a bit more obvious. The FL sometimes came off a bit too strong that she overpowered the ML in scenes together making him seem aloof. Lee Jae Wook was made a bit too monotone in the beginning, but he was good at expressing himself through his eyes. It was the main reason the viewer is able to acknowledge his growing love for Woo Bo Young. His smile was everything! I later realized him being so monotone actually made his actions towards the FL so much more especial. I just wished the viewer could have gotten to know a bit more about his personal life because many time he felt like a side character, two-dimensional. All-in-all I like how the romance evolved from admiration to well, love.

I had a love-hate relationship towards Shin Min Ho. The writer made him really impulsive and hypocritical. I mean all the characters were hypocritical at some point. They all grew more likable as the drama progressed.

Honestly I wasn't too enamoured with this drama, it was a cute watch with some sentimental moments- but that was mostly all to it. The main plot was good, and I enjoyed the romance between the main couple, but other than that I felt the other side plots didn't really fit into the drama.
There were a lot of side plots within this drama, and mostly I felt that they did an alright job with them- but there were moments where they felt too out of left field. The second largest plot point after the main couple and their sort of 'love triangle' is the friendship between two men in the x-ray department (I don't know what's it's called lol), but their plot didn't fit into the whole story line of the drama. Yes, it was a nice story but I could have done without it. They didn't have much of a connection to the main characters; other than a few plot crossovers I don't really know why they were there. This drama is a 'slice of life' drama, and yes, that means following the lives of everyday people and their struggles, but I still felt like it was a bit awkward with the plot points and making it interesting. It felt like each character had a story that we followed, but then they never wrapped up their plot lines and just left us guessing what happened to the characters. They teased us with romance between two different couples, and then seemed to run out of time to finish what they intended to do with them. I understand that they can't wrap up all the plot lines, because they viewer should still be able to imagine the future for the world they've created for this drama, but this was just too much- they introduced plot points and then left them out to dry.
I also felt they made the 2ndML too much of an asshole to seem likeable, he did have redeeming qualities, but not enough of them that I could sympathise with his struggles and his unrequited love for the FL. I did feel sorry for him, but other than that I just wanted him to butt out of the main couples romance, and to stop being so cryptic with what he wanted. Another plot point not wrapped up, his struggles with his family and how he felt he could never live up to the success of his brother. That was a relatively large plot line at one point, and they made it seem like there would be potential character growth from the family in order to make him feel more loved, but this never happened and they never revisited that plot point- I was disappointing in this.

Anyway moving on to the positives because I've talked too much about the disappointing parts oops.
I really liked the FL, they made her seem so likeable and hard working that I couldn't help but want the best for her, and I was more inclined to agree in disputes between her and other characters. She wasn't too annoying or clingy, and they made it seem like she really was a real person who was just going through her own trials and tribulations in life. This was really well done, along with the slow burning romance between her and the ML (is he really the ML though? it seemed that the other guy appeared more throughout the drama...). I enjoyed the moments where she read the poems out loud and it showed the other characters going through their struggles, and their own interpretation of each poem. I liked how they kept the them throughout the whole drama, never straying from the 'poem a day' and keeping in light and sentimental. I also really appreciated that they didn't have a 'villain' so to say, yes, they had relatively disagreeable characters, but they weren't made up to seem like they were doing anything particularly bad. This really was a slice of life drama, and it stayed inside its' borders, not pushing any boundaries or being controversial in any way.

As a whole I'd say, yeah, go watch this drama- but don't expect anything drama filled or life changing. It's a slice of life drama and won't keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next episode, but it's a nice watch and teaches valuable lessons that many people would benefit from. The acting is good and everything is very realistic and pleasant.

A Poem a Day is a medical drama with focus on the romance genre. The story involves doctors who work in a rehabilitation clinic, as well as nurses and trainees. We expecially follow the story of a young physical therapist, who meets her ex love interest in the clinic and falls in love with the new team leader. Now, the medical cases weren't that interesting, as they were short, few and didn't give us neither many information on the situation nor some closure to them. The romance, however was very nice with the love triangle slowly developing into a strong one. I do wish there were more episodes, though, cause the drama focused on the romance and didn't give many details on the other characters stories. But, overall, it was a sweet and cute drama, which I much enjoyed, so 8 out of 10.

It's natural, lovely, and you can watch yourself in them. There is a lot of comedy, many moments hilarious, I could not stop laughing.

She's just a poor woman who has to work with her heart to get ahead. And he's distant and tight, but he always respected her and admired her. He always was charming and sweet with her. He was different with her.

If you love your work, or what do you do, even in the bad moments, you'll do it with a smile on your face. I think that is the most important part they want to share in this drama.
