I can't believe the season is already over! Losing two episodes due to Yoon Doo Joon's unexpected enlistment was definitely a major blow, and I do wish we'd gotten to experience the payoff of the story a bit more, but to be honest I'm still happy with the season overall.

I loved the framework of having the parallel storylines telling Ji Woo and Dae Yeong's college and present day experiences. Given the way their relationship unfolded, it was clever and appropriate to put equal weight on both, and they managed to paint both pictures enjoyably at the same time. The supporting characters were great too, especially the hilarious group of friends from their college days.

The plot did seem to lose its way a little bit in the middle, and I imagine if the creative team knew that they'd be losing two episodes at the end, they may have tightened things up a bit. I wish they had, because as much as I enjoyed the characters, there were too many loose ends and unanswered questions at the end of it all.

That said, the actors did a good job of salvaging the characters despite the issues and surprises happening with the plot. I saw a lot of criticism online of Baek Jin Hee as the female lead, but I really don't understand why. She was adorable, and if I compare the three seasons of this show altogether, to me she was the most relatable so far. And Yoon Doo Joon was perfect as Goo Dae Yeong, as usual. The role seems basically designed for him. (Was it? Probably? I don't know.)

My favorite performance, though, was Lee Joo Woo as Ji Woo's sister, Seo Yeon. At first I was kind of turned off by how similar the character felt to her role in Waikiki previously, but she quickly grew on me as the writing revealed more nuances of the character. She seems well suited to both dramatic and comedic elements. I'm looking forward to what she'll do next.

Anyway, for fans of the Let's Eat series and for anyone who wants to watch a lighthearted drama with a sweet storyline and mouthwatering food scenes, I do recommend this one.

If you enjoyed the Let's Eat shows or enjoy watching food you will most likely enjoy (the majority of) this season too. The characters and romance are so sweet. Dae Young, the main character in all 3 Let's Eat shows is cool and kind. The supporting characters are fun to watch. I love that we get to see Dae Young's past and find out how he became the foodie that he is. There is no mystery sub plot in this the as in the previous seasons. It focuses more on real life issues - both in current day and flashbacks to college life.

The food scenes are a step up from Season 2. Almost every food scene is mouthwatering and delightful. I love how they go on forever and that there is always sort of a second act to each scene. Just when you think it's winding down you find out there's more coming.

Of the 3 seasons, I enjoyed this about as much as Season 1 - which was a lot. The fact that the last 2 episodes were cut unexpectedly did hurt it. I waver about rating it 9 because, if being strictly objective, the ending really falls short. But I enjoyed it overall enough to rate it a 9. I can't be totally objective because I loved the characters and how this drama made me feel too much. This show is not one I watched for the plot. Each episode just makes me feel good - watching the college friendships and shenanigans, the crushes, and the enticing food scenes. It's cute and funny and warm. I liked seeing the characters interacting and having fun together. I could just watch any episode and enjoy it on it's own without worrying about what happens next.

But the ending will probably bother a lot of people because it is obvious they didn't have time to tie it all up. That is really my only complaint about it. The last episode was a let down. It is a shame because otherwise it was great.

As a big fan of the series, I admit that this one could have been the best one yet. However, the ending was the sole reason why this drama can't be rated 9 out of 10.
Minus:
-The ending was rushed due to the leads army enlistment and so the story never really ended properly.
-The romance was nice, but getting our guy single again by killing his old girlfriend was a bit of a no no for me, as I loved them as a couple in the second season.
-Sometimes the pace was tiring.
Possitive:
-The acting was great
-The story was the best one yet, with those reply, youth vibes. Even the back and forth was cleverly managed.
-There were some little inside jokes here and there, like when the two boys got in a fight over food, someone will come and stop them by pointing out that the food will get cold.
-The food was plenty and didn't disappoint
-The couple had chemistry
So, overall, 7.5 out of 10.

Although not as good as the previous seasons, it was good to see food I recognised (pizza haha) but of course, seeing beautiful people eating beautiful food is a major part of the charm of this show. Compared to previous seasons there weren't enough Mr Foodie monologues for my liking though! I enjoyed the flashbacks the most, finding out about how Dae Young became a foodie was very interesting to me but I must say I was more involved in the main characters relationship in the past than the present. And in the present, I would have liked to have seen more of Seo-Yeon & Sun-Woo. I think the way this season went was so realistic, which for any kind of drama (never mind K-Drama) is refreshing! Even though I enjoyed this season the least (the previous 2 were much funnier and happier), I would love for there to be another season of Let's Eat where Dae Young (and the viewers) finally gets a happy ending *fingers crossed*

Overall the series was good. I really enjoyed the food eating scenes and interactions between college friends.

To be honest, I enjoyed the past scenes more than the present time- I wasn't a big fan of Seoyun and Sun's relationship. I really wish they had a reunion and not just Daeyeong and Jiwoo attending Sungju's wedding without the other two boys. It would of been fun to see what they were up to in present time.

I really enjoyed the comedy in this series though. Some of the moments really made me laugh out loud and was probably the only thing I enjoyed other than the foodie scenes.

I also feel like there were some loops holes in Daeyeong and Jiwoo's relationship. We got to see where Daeyeong got his foodie inspiration from and it was nice that in the present time Daeyeong was able to re-inspire Jiwoo into a foodie too. However, I feel like their relationship could of developed way more. We got to see all their cute interactions in past. It was disappointing to see that Daeyeong and Jiwoo didn't even get to see each other during or after Daeyeong's enlistment.

I haven't seen the other two seasons before so I don't know how Daeyeong acted before this season but we can see that he was dealing with the death of his girlfriend- which I feel like the writers could of gone more into. They only did in the last episodes but it's like ???? why have a love line with Jiwoo if you aren't going to resolve his past feelings? Although we did get some closure, really wish it was more towards the middle of the series. I do love Daeyeong's character because he was always so kind and considerate to others.

Moving on to Jiwoo and Seoyun. Honestly I really hated Seoyun- which I think many other people did too lol. Her character was just so annoying. She always thought she was better than everyone else and expected people to cater to her. Jiwoo wasn't super bad- I understood why she fought with Seoyun so much cause I mean how can someone deal with that right?
They literally had so many fighting scenes, it was so annoying. Like Daeyeong and other boys would also have to break them up or just stand their awkwardly like bruh...are ya'll not embarrassed???
I just feel like the writer's dragged on their sister problem and it was soooo annoying. Like we can see the two sisters cared for each other but did such a poor job at it.
After watching the whole series- I feel like Jiwoo wasn't even a main character- they focused so much on Seoyun and her character development. Seoyun was such an annoying character. I understand her trauma, her mom hated her and blamed everything on her. But Seoyun literally has the same traits as her mom...after learning her back story it all made sense but it shouldn't have taken the whole series for her change. And her love line with Sun was really weird and random in my eyes. I don't think the two look cute together.

Sadly the series was cut 2 episodes due to Doojoon's enlistment so I feel like they tried to wrap it up as neatly as possible- which I think they did a pretty good job of. Still wish we could of seen more development in the characters and faster storyline execution.

Some of my favorite moments from the series:
In episode 3, when the girls thought Byungsam was mute because he was too shy to talk to girls. And Jiwoo started signing to him.
In episode 4, when Seoyun kissed Jiwoo to get rid of her blind date.
It was always funny when Byungsam and Jinseok tried to hit on girls and no one liked them haha.
And when Sun kissed Seoyun I was so shocked!! I did not expect that and just as funny when Seoyun suggested the two sleep together to get rid of Sun and Daeyoung the whole time was trying to distract Jiwoo from contacting them- he's a real bro lol.
Byungsam confessing to Jiwoo multiple times where everyone started keeping count.
