Story: 7.5/10
I gave the story it's score because yes, it was okay along the way but the ending, like everyone has said, was very bad. I was hoping episode 15 and 16 were to give me more answers and be more hype than the rest of the episodes but it turns out that they were the worst episodes. I watched the first episode and thought it was very boring but I thought, maybe they could clean it up with the second episode. I was not really right about that. It was very slow paced and the romance is actually a hit or miss for people, but for me it was a miss sadly. I think the only reason I actually wanted to finish was because of the secondary characters of this story, which leads on to the next category. (btw, I felt that Ha Baek's power should have been shown more.
Acting/Cast: 6.0/10
Wasn't really impressed with the main characters acting. Nam Joo Hyuk is amazing but just not in this drama. I felt like another male actor could've played this role like Park Bo Gum and a different female lead and a proper story line. Shin Se Kyung.. I've seen her in Girl who see's scents and she was pretty good. In this one though..not so much. I found her character annoying. I have to say though, I think it's not the actor's fault rather than the director and writer for making the characters bland. Krystal,Gong Myung, and Im Joo Hwan were the scene stealers for me. Every time they came on screen, my attention would be stolen. My first time seeing a drama with Im Joo Hwan and I got to say, I'm lowkey a fan of him now.
Music: 8.0/10
Music is pretty good. When I was watching the drama, Glass Bridge by Savina and Drones seemed to play a lot. I checked the soundtrack and sadly there are only 6 OST's. Usually kdrama's have about 8-9 right?
Rewatch Value: 2.0/10
I don't think I'll be rewatching this because I didn't really enjoy it nor did it entertain me :(
Overall: 6.5/10
I don't really know the full story but was there a reason to why they couldn't do it the historic way? I feel like if they did it like that, the story line would have been so much better. Though I think I may have heard rumours was because of the budget.

Boring, messy, confusing with an extremely lacking story, sadly neither Nam Joo Hyuk beauty saved this drama. The main actress was plain, boring and didn't have a decent facial expression in 16 hours of the show, the second actress made a slightly better work ( the witch/psychologist or whatever she was) but really, even the secondary cast was boring and sometimes extremely over-exaggerated...
The story was actually good, but the cast was poorly directed, sometimes they repeated the same scene over and over again, the only one that I've liked was the person who was covered in water, it was the only thrilling thing that made me finish this show. Absolutely no worth the whole time to watch it...

A beautiful surprise!
Almost passed off this kdrama because of the unfair reviews and cheezy 1st episode! Both main leads and the short 16 episodes kept me watching and it became an addictive love story that I had to finish within 2 waking days! A simple modern day love story, complicated when it happens between a human and a Water God who's destined to be King in the Divine realm. The sweet chemistry of the pretty FL and the handsome ML with sprinkles of quirkiness, fun & tissue moments made this enduring, romantic fantasy story almost believable and entertaining. A refreshing story without the all to popular revenge and idiotic gibberish. After watching 3 long historical dramas this was a delightful eyewash!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
I thought Habaek will confront CEO Shin and will discuss their conflicts, but I did not see any of that. The ending was also boring.

It's so dragging it makes you wonder why a particular scene was shown only as the show was about to end. You could probably understand the story by just watching recaps of it. You would ask yourself "why did this happen only now?" "this should've happened earlier!" things like that.
Do not watch this if you don't want to waste your time. I myself am surprised i was able to watch until the 14th episode. The OST was actually good.

Oh my gosh, I'll never get that time back!
I love Nam Joo Hyuk, which brought me to this drama. I think I'm going to start using more discernment. The first few episodes really irritated me, then I moved into full-on boredom mode for the rest of the drama. Oh, my goodness it was slow. It was like watching paint dry. I wasn't particularly caring about any of the characters, since there weren't actual hooks to draw me in. The ending was apparently a happy ending, but I didn't like it either. And, considering that its alternate title was Bride of the Water God, the water scenes were just the worst!

This show in my honest opinion was a big let down for me. This story and show in general had so much potential. However, there were 2 HUGE flaws.1. The lack of chemistry between the main leads was not only a shame but it was very apparent too. Honestly Nam Joo Hyuck's acting was great in this drama, defo not one of his best. But Shin Se Kyung felt quite inexperienced and her acting was very inconsistent. Some moments were great but others made it seem like she was a first time Idol Actress which her previous works clearly state otherwise.
2. The story was interesting at first but by episode 6 it dragged and honestly it was a chore to finish (which I didn't even manage to do). The fact that Habaek kept losing his powers even after getting them back when saving the female lead from falling off a building was utter bs in my opinion. I purely decided to watch this drama due to the idea of such a potent character falling in love and using all of his powers to save her. And I very much misunderstood and only felt disappointed from there on.
HOWEVER, the second lead couple were a breath of fresh air in the drama and I began to anticipate when Krystal and Gong Myung appeared on screen. Also the acting of the antagonist was pretty well done.
This was the 3rd kdrama I watched ever and it was the first disappointment I felt from the kdrama world.

One thing that annoys me about this drama is when Habaek (Nam Joo Hyuk) keep boasting himself about being the God. I thought he already made it clear about it since first episode. Apart from that, the rest is just fine.
This is what I think - the drama is almost fine. It's not that all bad. For me, I just think that there can be someone else who can play as Habaek. I don't think it suits Nam Joo Hyuk that well. It doesn't give the right vibe if anyone know what I mean. I don't know how to put into words. I think Nam Joo Hyuk took the challenge to play a character that is different than any of his previous roles. That's very daring of him, I would say.
I was not all disappointed with this drama. Even if other actor took the role as Habaek, probably the reception of the drama can be just about the same. The question is, who is suitable for the role? Or what can be better?
However, I've seen quite a lot of familiar faces in the drama, which is surprising. As usual, the one actor whom I always watch play as the bad guy is back being the bad guy in this drama. That one never fail to impress me. He did it good. Its never been easy to play as a bad guy.
Finally, I've completed watching this series. Well, this series could be better. I realized after a while that Moo Ra's character is so bossy although she meant well for the sake of Habaek and Bi Ryeom. Anyway, its pretty good.
