Age of Youth é um drama diferente. Normalmente os dramas são somente entre homem e mulher ou um triangulo amoroso. Mais esse drama é apenas de amigas, que simplesmente mostra como você não deve pensar somente em você. Quando eu terminei de assistir eu fiquei por um bom tempo pensando em como era minhas atitudes. Por mais que seja uma coisa de amigas, ele mostra que você não deve ver as coisas pelo seu lado somente, se você sofre é o mesmo pra outra pessoa, se você tem duvidas outra pessoa também tem, e normalmente a gente só pensa em si mesmo, o que acaba causando brigas e inimigos desnecessariamente. Pra essas amigas é assim no começo, mas como dito, amizade e amor são fundamental quando se convive com outras pessoas.

Não sei nem o que dizer desse kdrama (primeiro que vi) de tão bom que é de assistir...
Vi há um ano atrás, mas não podia deixar de registrar meus pensamentos sobre a história então lá vamos nós

PONTOS POSITIVOS
O desenvolvimento das personagens e das amizades é bem natural e nada forçado, é leve e divertido e tem momentos de drama que fazem a gente pensar sobre nossas falhas enquanto sociedade: como os padrões de beleza podem ser cruéis, como os esteriótipos podem ser limitadores e como é injusto que uma das personagens tenha que virar a noite trabalhando em péssimas condições para poder custear sua vida e, além de tudo isso, com a construção do dia a dia dessas mulheres incríveis traz um sentimento quentinho no coração ao assistir, é como se mesmo pela primeira vez assistindo você sentisse um sentimento familiar.

PONTOS NEGATIVOS
Cai em alguns clichês como os segredos do passado, que na minha opinião, se arrastavam demais sem necessidade e deixa alguns personagens que mereciam mais tempo de tela esquecidos no churrasco.

CONCLUSÃO
Enfim, eu veria de novo e super recomendo
é ótimo também pra quem está começando a ver drama

Together with Another Miss Oh, Age of Youth is a drama that took me by complete surprise. Didn't know what to expect when I randomly picked this one up but I'm more than glad I did. It's one of the hidden gems you don’t wanna miss. It has so much to offer as the serie makes you laugh, cry and leaves you speechless. It’s realistic and relatable for everyone. The story focuses around the lives of 5 women in their 20’s, who live together as tenants in Belle Epoque share house. All of them have different backgrounds. Throughout the serie their struggles & insecurities and how they cope with them is being told. It has a light hearted vibe but don’t be fooled by that. Life has ups & downs. This drama not only shows you the happy things as they also bring up the less joyful moments in life in a captivating way. A complete and wonderful depiction of life.

The actresses are a great casting. They suit their characters. Park Hye Soo plays a innocent girl named Yoo Eun Jae, who has a unique taste in men. She is the youngest one of the bunch. As she is petit and has that little sister vibe, she really fits her character. Ryu Hwa Young is Kang Yi Na, a good looking girl who is considered to be a golddigger. Her chic, feminine vibe and fit body makes her a perfect match for the role. Han Seung Yeon portrays Jung Ye Eun, a cute & girly character. Her outward appearance is fitting for her character traits. The outfits are selected very well as they go with pastel colors and girl clothing that are kind of cute. Han Ye Ri is senior Yoon Jin Myung, who is a hardworking & late student. Her portrayal of Jin Myung is good as she is normal looking which makes it easy to focus on her actions. She doesn’t wear flashy or cute clothes but casual & comfortable clothing. That goes along with her character. Park Eun-Bin’s character is called Song Ji Won, a quirky senior with a lot of life advice. The way she acts and dresses suit her character. Really funny yet serious when needed. They really complete each other as every character has her own personality & charms. The acting of the actresses bring the characters to life. You will slowly open up to each character as you get to know them one by one. Feeling sympathy & empathy through the good & bad times of our main characters lives.

The music is nice and feature different artists from all over the world. However, the OST is mostly made out of songs which have already been released late 2000’s. That doesn’t matter though as they are well suited and fit perfectly with the drama.

Age of Youth is not your typical drama. As many shows rely on something special, like fantasy elements or a star studded cast, this serie excels in being normal. And that's perfectly fine because that's one of it's charms. The way it taps into the slice of life genre and the realistic portrayal of the lives of 5 women is very refreshing. Paired with a lot of beautiful life messages, this drama gives you a lot more than you expect. It’s a pity that the drama only has 12 episodes as I wouldn’t mind to see more. Great pacing, great topics, great characters. A brilliant drama which will shock you by how a laid-back but realistic serie can be so amazing.

I loved Age of Youth! It's such a cute drama and have an even cuter cast and setting. I was really excited to watch it after seeing some trailers online but it lived up to my expectations and I was hooked from episode 1!

Each of the five girls in this show has a certain quality to them that makes them unique in their own way. You can automatically find a quality of yourself in each girl and may even relate to a specific girl more than the others because I know I did (I'm pretty sure I'm an irl version of Senior Song). The struggles that these five girls face everyday is so very much relatable especially if you're a university student yourself. If you have any idea what it's like to have a roommate or roommates/housemates then every problem that they face with each other will make you go "I feel you !". From problems like friends borrowing clothes to boyfriend drama to part-time jobs, this drama easily peeks into the lives of the youth of today. But what makes this drama even better is the bond that these girls have with each other, how even though they were strangers at some point with extremely different personalities, they've come together and became this unbreakable bond that'll remind you of you and your own friends.

The cast is great I think each girl represents their own personalities very well and will come to remind you of certain people in your lives. The stories associated with each character is very unique yet relatable to stories in real life.

I really like the music to this drama mainly cos I'm sucker for indie. It's very light and bubbly which goes along well with the vibe of the drama . As for rewatching, this may be a drama I'd rewatch in the future. Honestly speaking, 12 episodes was not enough for me I flew threw each episode so quickly I was so shocked when I realized I was on episode 10 already! I do wish they focused on some questions I still had at the end of the show that were left pretty unanswered and focused on some of the characters more and their backgrounds, which is another reason why I'd want an extension on this drama. But overall, it was worth every episode.

I became a total fan of this drama within the first few episodes and I had so much fun finishing it. We got an authentic cast mostly consisting of women which is totally great because it is the cast that made this drama this refreshing to me. I mean it when I say the best thing that stood out to me were the dynamics between the women. Even though each of them is unique and totally different than the other they came together and created such a nice harmony. Their personas were relatable and refreshing, especially Song Jiwon, I wish I could be her friend she's so much fun. What more can I wish for other than their support for each other and sisterhood. Although they often clashed in some areas of life, in the end they still stood by each others side and build this support system everyone should follow.

Seriously though ... this is what I have been missing in dramas recently. I needed this whole female cast that tries to juggle personal issues, carreer, romance and friendship together. The creators approached females as humans that are not perfect WHICH I LIVE FOR. Farting, investing a lot of time into looking a certain way, having body hair or for example the fact that Eunjae has some sort of social anxiety is a great topic to touch upon. Personally, I felt the most for Jin Myeong's character. The hardwork she put into everything while trying to keep her problems to herself and basically following a "life plan" she came up herself even if she isn't sure if that's what she wants to do. It was nice experiencing her perspective on working hard for a career and reflecting on life. On another note Park Jaewan is a total keeper. Bless this man.

However, that doesn't mean "Age of Youth" was completely flawless. For instance I noticed problematic scenes that involved slut and fat-shaming. It didn't take up a lot of screen time and I didn't pay much attention to it since the girls supported each other overall but the fact they still included such hateful scenes made me sad. If I had to name one thing to improve about this drama then I would chose to take out such scenes.

All in all, if you're down for some honest youth and a female cast consisting of adorable and fierce women then this is for you.

Disclaimer: If you like very melodramatic and fast-paced dramas, this might not be your cup of tea. Still, give this a try!

This is a feel-good drama that develops each character into a relatable friend. The beauty of slower paced dramas is that you feel as if you're growing with the characters. You grow with the small little details that occur in their day, and most of all, the situations each character encounter are generally realistic. Unlike melodramas which have an unrealistic and overdramatic storyline (don't get me wrong, I like them), Age of Youth will find a special place in you. I really like that all five main characters were equally stressed in the storyline; regular dramas seem to only focus on two or three characters max, so this was a nice relief.

If I could change just one thing in this drama, it would be to extend the last episode or add a few more episodes showing how their characters developed a decade into the future. There was this one scene where the five girls were sitting at the kitchen table talking about how they envisioned their lives to be in ten years. How beautiful would it have been seeing a sisterhood reunited years after separation and growth?

Age of Youth/Hello My Twenties was one of the first dramas I ever tried to watch and while I did end up dropping it halfway through around two years ago I decided to give it another go. I’m so glad I did because I really enjoyed the characters, plot, OST, and acting.

As a college student this drama hit really hard for me, especially the parts about friendship. The romance plot lines were okay but I really just cared about the Belle Époque girls and how they slowly grow into this solid supportive family unit.

However sometimes the plot was too slow (hence why I dropped it two years ago) but thankfully the skip and increase speed buttons exists. I don’t want to give away too much but I thought this was a refreshing drama that showed a variety of heavy issues such as domestic violence, mental health, and sexual harassment yet balanced it out with comedy. I’m not sure if I would watch s2 because of the casting change and my attachment to the original characters but one day I might.

Antes de tudo, devo confessar que adoro doramas que falam sobre a vida, o dia a dia de cada personagem e não focam só no romance.
E esse é o diferencial desse, a história fala sobre cada uma das personagens e as batalhas diárias de cada uma, ela não foca só nos relacionamentos (lógico que eles não ficam de fora, mass….).
Em um só episódio é possível rir, chorar e se apaixonar, os personagens não são do tipo maria-vai-com-as-outras ou “sem cérebro” e vivem descobrindo coisas novas.

As meninas criam um laço de amizade tão forte (e fofo) que elas estão sempre atentas às necessidades umas das outras, tem até um episódio em que elas tentam proteger a caçulinha do grupo (essa é a melhor parte) porque a ouviram gritar e acharam que ela estava em perigo.
Sem dúvidas, esse é um dorama que eu assistiria milhares de vezes seguidas.

I didn't know what to expect going into this drama but I really enjoyed it. Although I found some of the storylines predictable or annoying and occasionally one character's acting rubbed me the wrong way... I still enjoyed it. I'd love another season as I have so many questions and would love to see what happens for the characters!

I would have given this a 7 or a 7.5 (I'm a harsh rater as I picture it as a five star kind of deal) but I love that it dealt with and mentioned taboo subjects that other kdramas pretend don't exist.

I'd really recommend this as a cute, funny drama to watch in between a couple of heavy ones. It suited me perfectly and I could really relate to the struggles of some characters ?
