Chen Jia Yu’s mother loses her way while delivering a batch of food to a film crew. Hui Rong loses a potential major long-term customer and blames Jia Yu’s mother deep down. He then appears before her, holding a bunch of balloons, and proposes. Touched, she accepts. But at home, the news doesn’t match the celebration she expects. Hui Rong does not trust Liang Song and objects. The next morning, Jia Yu turns up at Xingyuanzhai to help out and overhears Hui Rong grumbling about her Taiwanese daughter-in-law to Uncle Li, saying she would prefer Song Xiao Zhuang, a proper Beijing girl, as a daughter-in-law.
