Started to watch because of Lee Jong Suk stayed also for him and the plot
I really enjoyed the show and watched it in three days. Sorry university assignments... The story was so immersing I wanted to know what would happen next. What has the writer planned next? I have read that some people disliked the second part of the story and I can understand that. I also think the first part of the story was much more well written. Why does it almost always feel like K-dramas start really strong but near the end the story flops? Before this drama I watched Extraordinary You. Both have the same idea that the story is manhwa related. The setting is slightly different though. Not going to write anymore about EY since spoilers but personally I liked W's setting more. In W there is a popular manhwa called W that is thriller. The main character has tragic past and is trying to find the killer who murdered his family. He is millionaire who has a strong sense of justice, is good looking and popular with ladies. Sounds interesting thriller and action manhwa that I would read. If the manhwa is connected to real world the story could go to any way right?
So of course they don't write the story that would be more interesting in my opinion. They emphasize romance over the thriller. And the romance isn't even that well written. Don't get me wrong. I didn't dislike the female lead. I just think that the chemistry wasn't that strong. Also Kang Chul's character changes too much when he falls in love with the female lead. I dislike the fact that one woman becomes his top priority when he could have had also other things he could have focused on. Of course love as well but not as the main thing. Imagine if they would have written passionate sexual relationship between the main leads (then the female lead should be different) and kept Kang Chul in character. Not as a sweet romantic type. But I guess they wanted to take the poorly written romance path then. In my opinion they wasted Kang Chul's potential as a character. He was still awesome though.
Nonetheless I was still addicted to the drama. Wanted to see more of hot Lee Jong Suk as Kang Chul. Wanted to find out who was the killer. Wanted to know how W (the manhwa) ends. W was really enjoyable ride with plot holes and twists here and there. It wasn't perfect and I felt a bit betrayed by the drama but that's usually what happens with K-dramas so nothing new. My final verdict is that the drama would have been a lot better if the romance part would have been different. Maybe not so high lighted. I think I'm going to rewatch the show at some point for getting more clear picture about it.

W : a wonderful show but a bad execution
Honestly, this show kept me hooked im not gonna lie. it was very good, especially at the start but it all started going down once the storyline kept getting dragged and there were plot holes everywhere.Whilst the romance was good, there was very less character development on the FL's side and her work seemed unrealistic, she was a cardiothoracic surgeon i don't think she'd have that much free time but then again its all fictional.
Kang Chul's storyline was very nice, hence why i have the story a 9/10, would've been 10 if it didn't have so many plot holes and it wasn't dragged.
The ending was okay? it left me a little disappointed but from what i remember (i watched this long time ago) it had a good ending so i cannot complain on that behalf.
The actors... the ML's acting was incredible but the FL... meh not that plausible but it was still good enough. All the other characters seemed pretty okay.
Now the main reason i have this an 8 was because of the rewatch value. This may not apply to everyone but i had a very hard time watching this. I kept skipping parts or speeding them up and I'd constantly stop the episodes and come back. It was either in the filler episodes or when things would get too spicy. Eitherways i wouldn't re-watch it again. I don't think its cause of the psychological aspect cause for example It's okay not to be okay focuses on psychology and its much deeper than W but unlike W, id rewatch IONTBO a million times.
I just think that it could've been better but i still remember that i enjoyed this and i binged watched it too so it couldn't have been that bad. It was just the continuous plot holes and the constant skipping of parts that makes me not want to re-watch it or rate it any higher than 8. Which by the way i think its a generous rating but i enjoyed it and the show made me cry so its okay. would recommend it but to your own risk!!

Some like, some hate, some moderately liked:I went through these three opinions
Honestly, it's very hard to review this drama because the opinions are very clear-cut: either we loved it, or we liked it a little, or we absolutely hated it.Personally, I went through all these opinions while watching this drama.
I hated it:
- From the middle to the end of the story. It doesn't make sense anymore, we could finish the drama at episode 12
- The acting of the main actress, which sometimes is really bad. However, we see a real evolution of her acting in the drama. She is good at the end hm.
- The 15 min rewinds before each episode.
I loved it:
- The main actor is really excellent. I really didn't think he was great at the beginning but he is just made for this job and this role.
- The beginning of the story : I think the main plot is really good but the explanations are too bad.
- The fact that sometimes I was surprised and/or sad: some scenes really gave me chills etc.
- The FX but woooooooooow. The work of the artists is impressive!
Basically I wanted to put 5 but in truth I still had a good time and not listening to other reviews, this note is personal and only based on my feeling! The drama itself is not worth 7. I would not watch it again but I still wanted to finish this drama.

Worth the watch
I truly wanted to rate this higher. I really loved the concept and actually thought to myself, this show is amazing and I'm already sucked in within the first 1/2 hour. I was sure this was going to be a solid 10. But as the I watched more episodes, unfortunately, I found the main female character to be so weak and it kinda ruined it for me a little bit. Aside from that, I would still definitely recommend this drama and it is worth the time.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

W: two world
As the dram name says w:two world it's really through me in another world like literally its one of my favourite drama as i was in lee jong suk marathon so i also watched this drama and after this drama i fall in love with him in more depth his acting is amazing in this drama as always but what made me attached to this drama is it's suspensive content and the chemestry between leads. You can't predict what will happen in next episode it's just 16 episode drama which will show you from many ups and down but always satisfactoryQuesta recensione ti è stata utile?

One of its kind kdrama with good OTP
No wonder W is one of the more iconic kdramas of the new era. It's high concept and way ahead of its time with the parallel worlds and cartoon characters transported into the real world. Even the visuals, how they depicted the webtoon stuff blending into real world stuff is impressive. It may not have executed all it set out to do without hiccups, but I had lots of fun going along for the ride.Among writer Song Jae Jung dramas, I still have a soft spot for Memories of the Alhambra the most, yes it's also a mess, but maybe I watched it first, and Hyun Bin! He might be more well-known and dreamy in CLOY, but he was so good in Alhambra. I loved the Alhambra romance, but wished it had more like W, where the OTP felt more epic, Kang Chul and Oh Yeon Joo have been through a lot.
I love how the W romance has a little bit of everything: time-travelling partner concept, and pining for a loved one who lost memories of you, which I'm weak for. Song Jae Jung is partial to her 'very very nice to a fault' heroines but I have to admit Han Hyo Joo's Oh Yeon Joo had more to do, than Park Shin Hye in Alhambra. Solid W cast: Lee Jong Suk is still the undisputed king of aegyo acting, and tortured heroine Han Hyo Joo was good, but dad Kim Eui Sung shone the most doing dual roles.
I admit it got a bit all confusing there towards the end, with new 'out of nowhere' rules being introduced to make each episode more exhilarating, but this is such a breakthrough kdrama that I can forgive it for that. W just cements the fact I'll always be how 'Oh Yeon Joo is to Kang Chul' at every Song Jae Jung drama: I'll be the sucker fan who'll wish for her drama's happy ending, despite all the ??? in the end.

Pity...
A very nice concept stands as basis for this show's plot. Nice and original. That should be enough as reason for a high rating. However, for the rest I might say that the chance to have something epic was just wasted. Pity...
The cast is good, the acting was more than convincing, the music good, also the CGI was well developed, but it was the story that at a certain moment started derailing towards a complete, confused anarchy. The solidity of a story stands into the presence of a structure within which the story itself moves. The structure was initially present, but episode after episode it was simply dismantled and the story potentially could turn into whatever without any logic or sense. Funny thing is that the final itself was "explained" as a consequence of the rules governing the interaction between the two worlds: someone should explain me at this point why someone had to disappear, while the only reason behind the reviving of another one was that the W. world started working independently... So, both of them could have been survived, because there no longer were any rules. Hurray for the fantasy, that's sure, but not for ridiculousness. To explain what I mean, I might say that a good webtoon is the one which has an actual story to tell, a credible one, where the rules and the boundaries are clear or it is just a waste of paper and ink.
In addition to this, some nonsense hit the villains' characters. I understand that the predetermined fate for each of them should be the reason for some illogical actions taken by the same. But the continuous obsession towards the leads, at a certain point became paradoxical and not well credible.
The free will that the W characters start showing and which should be the main reason for their changing from toons to humans, is itself incredibly not explained, not clarified, thus not convincing. Why, for what reason all of that happened? Why did they start acting and choosing on their own and no longer following the plot decided by their creator?
Who knows?
Pity, really...
