Oh My Ghostess Episode 3 Reazioni

Of course the flashbacks in this episode were bittersweet and I'm heartbroken for Soonae. But I was generally bored throughout this episode. I'm not sure where the plot is heading yet except for us uncovering how Soonae died.

The episode went slower than usual. The editing is a bit choppy which is annoying. The Sous-chef event was a filler. The last part of the episode was the most important one. The rest was flat boring. I hope they pick up the pace the next episode.

This is a great episode balancing out the flashbacks with what's presently going on. Connecting the past and the present well enough that you can feel the emotions. Sun Woo finally gets a bit more personality past his cold and cocky chef façade. Which definitely needed to happened! Soon Ae is a really cool character and I loved getting to know her. It made it that much more moving when she finally realizes that three years have gone by, and the world of her loved ones has gone on. It's still not revealed how she died, but at least she's got her memory back enough that she knows who she is. She's not Soon Ae as she was a live, but she's not Bong Sun either.
Speaking of Bong Sun, she doesn't get much development. But she does get SOME. Soon Ae finally gets a chance to go through her stuff. Plus, a call from her grandmother show's us what a wonderful person Bong Sun is. It's all so titillating with her shaman grandmother and that spear thing she has! This episode is promising that it took the time to show us a bit of Bong Sun. Hopefully that means that she will surface and develop more. The idea of Soon Ae and Bong Sun sharing Bong Sun's body is just too amazing of idea not to use.
Especially since there are love drama setups allover the place here! These flashbacks are definitely key in building up crushed dreams of Soon Ae and Sun Woo in the love department.
This episode definitely goes down Flashback Ville, but it's paced out enough with the present day story to not feel bogged down. Even with the setups of lost loves and a lost life it still manages to be humorous. My smiler hurt by the end, and I felt warm and fuzzy. The cliffhanger was a bit silly, but it works. I'm very curious as to how Soon Ae is going to handle the ghosts. Clearly she can't chase them away when there malevolent. I'm also looking forward to the other kitchen staff to get developed beyond the Sous Chef. It was impressive how the episode took two annoying characters and fleshed them out. Bravo. Oh My Ghost is definitely holding it's own still.
