One of the best romance/suspense drama that I have ever seen. I have never had the concept of what a good drama should be but this drama really set the standards for me.

Amazing story.
1.) The main highlight of this show is definitely the different split personalities. I was pretty hesitant about the male lead (Jisung.. I am so sorry about not knowing him before the drama) having 7 split personalities but the story definitely lead well to the backstory of the 7 personalities. I am also impressed by how the writer/s included character development and growth for the personalities making the story interesting and not stagnant.

2.) Romance is beautiful. I really want to talk more about the romance but I think it is impossible to do that without spilling any beans. This is the first drama that made me had second male lead syndrome for two of the characters (I am trying my best) and bromance is simply so natural.

3.) Suspense is the one that kept me going real hard. So many WOW factors in this drama. You will be sooooooo surprised at many point in time and will really expect more and more from the drama.

4.) I will not consider this drama as a medical drama though. I am no medical-expert but I can see that this drama does not really touch on the medical side. If you are going for medical/psychological, this won't be the one (watch It's Okay It's Love instead).

5.) This drama has one of the best ending, really. A nice closure and no possibility for season 2 (which I kind of appreciate as there are many season 2s becoming really forced) I must give credits to the writer/s for the wonderful story. JJANG!

Next the acting...
Jisung handled the split personalities soooo good. He deserves the Daesung (Grand Prize) so so so so so much. There are many controversies about Hwang Jung Eum's acting (female lead) but I really don't find any problem with her acting. She may be exaggerating at times but I believe it is for the comedy effect and also she did displayed impressive emotional acting in the drama. All the casting is done really well and I have enjoyed the acting of all major/minor characters. ANOTHER JJANG!

Auditory Hallucination really gives me the suspense vibe for Kill Me Heal Me. You can feel the painful love with lots of secrets and suspense, with a hope for life and happiness. I totally don't understand the lyrics of the song but I feel it anyway. Its like a flashlight speed recap of the drama every time you listen to the song. There are other OSTs but unfortunately, is not as impactful as Auditory Hallucination.

All in all, go watch it! Because this is the drama that taught me what is a good drama in romance-comedy and suspense aspect (and I never thought that this two genre can go so well together). Heart wrenching back stories, beautiful yet painful romance, funny bromance/split personalities moments, heart warming family love, great acting and impactful music. All in one.

Medical dramas are my preference so i started watching the seven faced man(chinese version) but due to its length and acting i switched to kill me heal me ( korean version) and omg the ost just hooked me from first episode. drama which starts with a myestry ends up with a satisfying and compelling emotional end. I cried within the last two episodes.

Ji Sung as Cha Do Hyun was comendable. each personalily was perfectly potrayed. Every character was very well communicated with the actions and expressions and ofcourse fashion. He gave life to all the seven person with his powerful expression and performance. It makes you believe that its truely the other person just by the gaze.

Jung Eum as Oh Ri Jin was cute, comical, matured and contenance were just mindblowing. As a Psychiatrist she did a great job but as love interest she was remarkable healing every piece of cha do hyun. The farewell of each person seemed very agonizing and yes i cried with her.
Park seo joon as Oh Ri On was not just a brother but a friend and support who calmed her helped her whenever she is low. He was perfectly jaw dropping.

Now the ost, ofcouse auditory hallucination got into my playlist since after i finished the series. The rap and lyrics fit flawlessly to wherever it was tuned. It was actually hallucinating.

This drama is a trimph in the medical content drama. DID not just a psychiatric disorder but can be a tragedy too. This drama illustrates it delicately. The pains which make a person try to suicide, and then a person who is mad for idols and a person who loves deeply and violently. The HEAL ME was illustrated to all of these painful pieces flawlessly.

Rewatch hmmmm
You just try watching the first episode you will get addicted yourself.
Will watch again after a month till then absorbing the auditory hallucination.

i didnt review this drama yet?OMG...maybe i'm drawn along with this drama it make me forget to give review for such a beautiful drama. prepare, its going to be long...
so...this is my opinion :

STORY : long...20 episodes is indeed very long journey for me, BUT...it worth my every minutes. it pack with a solid and worth watch storyline, every minute of it. flaw? i think i can't find a BIG flaws in it, and i'm in love with the comedy aspect in every scene (funnier than HEALER), even in a serious scene. a little bit comedy is important for me to keep me watching 20 episodes until FINISH. just like a general korean dramas, its a bit confusing at the beginning just watch it all the way until the end and you'll get the point. the story wasn't running in circle, not back and forth, but really really moving forward with a fast pace, so...i love it. this drama worth the rating.

CAST : good storyline but not so good interpretation (by the actors) is worthless...so, this great but complicated storyline was saved by Ji Sung. He really is an actor, he really is all his character in the drama (sorry, forget the name). even though there are 7 of Ji Sung, but all off them was different...yes they have the same face but the eyes in every one of them make me believe that they are different. The Eyes of Ji Sung. my favorite character is Yoo Na, so funny and girly with a muscular body and masculine face, and i love the romance (or should i call it bromance) between Yoo Na and Seo Joon. Hwang Jung Eum portraying of Oh Ri Jin can be irritating sometimes, and a little bit annoying but i think its an indication that her acting was believable, and she is really funny, i love her.

MUSIC : the intro was so familiar in my ears, i'm sure it was a song by STING but i dont know the name. when i google it, it is very similar to STING - SHAPE OF MY HEART. maybe a little bit copycat (sorry) but i think it what make the song give a great vibe to the drama. the intro maybe similar but the voice of the female singing part is the biggest poin in my ears, i'm drawn in it, i dont even know what she say, just like i dont understand Korean but how they incorporate the rap, the female voice and the intro was superb. so, the song itself was worth listening.

REWATCH : i will, Yoo Na part only because my favorite is when there's Yoo Na in it. its 20 episodes, its just impossible for me to watch it all over again when i have so many dramas and movies to watch, hahaha. but for those who have a lot of free time, this is one of the drama that worth for rewatch.

MUST WATCH

This drama is hilarious, despite talking about a really deep and dark topic such as child abuse and the resulting PTSD. This drama captivated me. I feel bad for the brother, but at least you can watch them in "She was Pretty" (although that dramas not as good as this one). You'll laugh (really loud and hard) and you'll cry, and your heart will hurt, and at the end, you find strength and that boundaries are a good thing. Just be prepared, it's good enough that you'll want to binge watch, but your heart has to be ready for the rollercoaster.

I just finished watching this drama and I am left with a deep impression I can't ever put into words. What did I expect when I started this drama? I wasn't sure, but the rating and comments were good. I expected it to be different from what I have seen so far and that - it definitely was.

I couldn't help but rate it 10 out of 10. Because even though there are a few things that I thought weren't entirely perfect/realistic.. scoring it any less than a 10 made me feel like I was being very unfair towards the drama as a whole.

Story and acting:
Multiple personality disorder and 7 personalities. It sounds crazy and I was very curious to how it was going to be acted out. I'm speechless. The male lead (JS) did amazing! He was more than just convincing; he became 7 different people. I don't think I have ever been as impressed by an actor as I have by him. Not only was he very real, he made me love each and every personality, even those I found highly annoying or boring at first glance. The way the story develops allows you to get steadily introduced to the many issues that are going on. So it doesn't feel cluttered at all. The story has the perfect balance between scenes where you can't stop laughing, and those that make you bawl your eyes out. It's true - the male lead even manages to make you shift through emotions faster than you can blink your eyes and prepare your heart. Because the acting was so very well done, it became only all the more heartfelt.

And then the siblings. Their chemistry was sky high! I love Oh Ri On so very much. If I imagine myself the perfect brother; it would definitely be someone like him. I love how real things were in their sibling relationship.

As for negatives:
There were only a few minor, minor inconsistencies I couldn't help but notice. (Which I won't mention, because other people might not even notice it, so very minor.) And because aside from that - I was often very annoyed by the female lead her screaming. I had read a warning about it, and I was glad I knew beforehand. But that screaming could have been a bit less.

There were a few things I choose to ignore because I understood it was mostly done for the viewer so they won't get confused. (Like Shin Se Gi's tattoo appearing and disappearing.) It was mostly a visual aid I guess, but for me it was obvious enough just by the male lead's acting so it felt redundant.

Music:
I have fallen so totally in love with the rap song you hear in all the episodes. It really sets the mood well, between the rap and the soft singing. I know I heard many other BGM as well, but it's only this one that I can name. And it's stuck in my head along with all the feels it's given me.

Rewatch Value:
A definite high one. Even if I already know the story, the great acting work alone is enough to make rewatching it another great journey. And if not for the story or the acting, I'm sure the music alone would keep dragging me back in. I'm very sad it's come to an end. And I can't wait until the day I'll feel ready to watch this again.

Last word:
This drama has made me feel many emotions. It has made me think a lot and I respect the hell out of it for making a heavy subject like this so very personal and touching. It has inspired me on many levels, too. I've been taken on a journey through pain, acceptance, grieve, regret, longing and loneliness by a handful of amazing actors.

I'm really grateful a drama like this exists.

Deserves so much more love!!

I started this drama because of the good ratings here in mdl and boy they were right!

Tbh the very first episode didn't give me much hope about the future, but I continued watching, without much expectations. And it turned out to be one of my all time favourites.
There is much that could go wrong with this story but they have managed to pull it off amazingly exceeding all my expectations. Here's my humble review on this drama and as it's my very first, please excuse the mistakes.

Story -It may seem like you understood the whole past story at first but the writing presents us with believable plot twists one at a time, at the right times and keeps you interested till the end. The end is on where all the personalities, childhood traumas, secrets and grudges held by characters start to make perfect sense. So the story is well paced and will keep you interested till the very end. And the characters are also very well written and believable according to their circumstances, Specially our tortured but kind hearted Mr.Cha Do Hyun and all his personalities (Shin Se Ki is my personal favorite) You will rarely come across a complex protagonist like him.

Acting -It's my first time seeing Ji Sung's work and I'm already a fan😍 His portrayal of 7 different individuals, ranging from an ahjussi to a teen girl, is top notch. Our FL too must be appreciated as I came to love her quirky but smart nature and I rarely like these type of FLs in kdrama😅 All other members of the cast are also well suited for their characters and have done an amazing job.

Music- This has one of the most beautiful and heart touching osts I have ever come across. The theme song Auditory hallucinations really enhances the theme and all the emotions in this drama. The contrast of the male singer's rap and females singer's ballad is beautiful! And as someone in yt comments has said the rap kills and the ballad heals💖 It will surely bring tears to your eyes more than once, with the way it is used throughout the drama.

Rewatch value -I am not usually one to rewatch a whole drama so my rewatch values can be comparatively low. Instead I would watch the osts or some scenes that I specially enjoyed, but this drama is one I would definitely rewatch if I had time (but sadly I don't😢) It is the kind of drama you can enjoy over and over, from time to time.

Overall - Totally recommended!!!

I am new to Kdrama and will be 1 year old (lol) very soon.

Kill Me , Heal Me was my 4th K Drama to watch and I found it very riveting.  I came to love the 3 main characters very much.

Ji Sung as Cha Do Hyeon: my gosh i loved his acting so much. I felt connected to every one of his personalities whether it was because i loved each personality or was annoyed at each personality . It was so well done that as Cha Do Hyeon got to deal with his disorder my heart had become so invested in each personality it helped me to question my own life and my own personality. Lets say that at the end of this drama I was very happy. He made me laugh ,cry and even fall in love with him.

I recommend this drama to anyone.

“Kill me, heal me” is probably just another “cliché” kdrama, that at the half of it, become a kind of soup-opera. In its behalf, I should say that it has at least two things that are worth it: first, the story is interesting, and secondly, the male lead is really good, being able to play so many different roles. It’s simply amazing how you can sense at first sight which role he is doing even before he had uttered a single word, only by his eyes. Moreover, although I’m not a big fan of Park Seo Joon, I admit I liked him in here. He did a wonderful job as the best brother ever.
The almost only BUT (really big) for me it’s that this drama would have been so much better if the female lead wouldn’t be so unbearable. Her role in here (first time seeing this actress) is maddening. She is shouting and crying and shouting really loud all the time. It was so tiring that after episode 10 I was just about to drop it out.
The music it’s ok, it doesn’t bother the story. Overall, I liked the main song, that I already knew even before watching the drama.
Rewatch: it’s a no for me... too many screams. But, if you haven’t watch it, you can give it a try, overall if you want to see the sexiest Ji Sung as Shin Se Gi and his amazing acting job.

Kill me, heal me is an odd drama, in every way. First of all, it has an odd story that goes deeper and deeper, with plots and twists and more personalities jumping up from everywhere. And then there is the fact that unlike most dramas that start strong and then they flop towards the ending, this one starts badly and has a strong ending (wow talking about an odd drama!!) Okay, this one reminded me of the good old days when I was watching She was pretty and the entertainer (same actors, all favourites of mine!!). The story also brought back memories of the drama It's okay, it's love, though the later was dealing with mental health issues better and more in depth, even though Kill me, heal me deals more with children abuse. The story is nice, with a guy who has several personalities, all different (even a seventeen old girl!) who hires a personal doctor to help him keep them under control and not get caught by his family. In the meantime, the background story of them both is being revealed. The performances were on the point and really great, especially from the lead actor, who was amazing with changing his personality from a suicidal teen to a bad boy adventurer. The soundtrack was nice, but the same song kept playing over and over and it started getting annoying in the end. Plus the romance was weak, but the drama focused on the background story more than the romance so it was okay to not have the strong love story. I'm not sure if there was a love triangle in this one though it would have been unnecessary if there was. But only because it got boring in the middle and the beginning was weak, I'll rate this one 5 out of 10.

I don’t know how many time I’ve been scrolling past the title “Kill Me, Heal Me” in the past and then finally, last week I started to watch the drama. I recently started to watch other dramas that have recommended this one so I thought I would give it a try at least, even though the trailer did not appeal to me from the start. And here I am, totally sold on the story. It is hard in the beginning to get into the story because the past is such a mess but just stay put for a few episodes and then you are too curious in what actually happened 20 years ago. I usually don’t like when the plot and the past is too messy, I don’t like to many flashbacks and a too messy family with too much messy family history.

STORY: I really didn’t like the story in the beginning. The psychological genre gives me the creeps just because it touches me so much so I never choose to watch those dramas. I often get too teary eyed. Cha Do Hyeon, what an interesting character, non- the less his other 7 personalities. It is hard to do a story presenting an illness. The psychological genre is a very sensitive genre, if you handle it wrong the drama will be really bad but If it goes right, then you have a really good story to present. The best thing in this is the chemistry between all the characters and the personalities.

ACTING/CAST: Cha Do Hyeon played by Ju Sung is really good. It is amazing how good he plays the 7 different personalities without dropping the main characters characteristics features. In this mess of tears and emotions that are very confusing with a dark past you have the fun part there too. Here the actor Park Seo Joon does an amazing job as the older brother Oh Ri On with his humorous characteristic features together with Cha Do Hyeon. I fell in love with Hwang Jung Eum’s character Oh Ri Jin. From the first look of it she acts before doing the thinking but then you get to know the character and see how much thinking she put behind her actions and how much work she puts behind everything that she does.

MUSIC: Auditory Hallucination, I have sold my tears for this OST. Just by listening to the music I start to cry again and I can’t stop. Combined with all the emotion scenes and story with this music just breaks my heart, literally. Adjusts perfectly to the emotions. The scenes and the moods has it’s own music themes. The past childhood scenes have one and Shin Se Gi together with O Ri On has another, making it easier for the viewers to adjust the emotions to the scenes and the drama becomes a little more predictable on what’s going to happen and what is happening. Every scene has like a signature music.

REWATCH VALUE: OH MY GOD! It’s a must, yes, yes, yes, of course you need to rewatch if not for the sad parts then but for all the fun scenes.

OVERALL: A bit too much flashbacks making it a bit too messy but overall, I love the story and it is actually one of the best dramas I’ve seen so far. The chemistry between all the characters are amazing and I’m dying of laughter at the funny moments.

Don't let the SUPRISE MAN BUN hit you in the ass on the way out

I watched The Devil Judge and I liked the main actor so much I wanted to watch something else he was in, so I picked this drama. At first...if I'm honest...I was pretty put off. They do all this hokey weird crap early on, with like laser beam eyeballs and magically appearing tattoos, to represent the switching personalities. It was pretty cringe, but probably more acceptable in 2015 than in 2021, so I stuck with it. There are also a lot of "love cures mental illness" themes that are a pretty far stretch. As long as you go into it with the view that really it's a fantasy romance drama, and not representative of reality, it's not half bad.

The standout in this drama is for sure the acting. All the leads and even the side characters did a great job portraying their characters. The amount of tears the two main leads shed is insane...like the lead dude for sure needed to recharge his electrolytes to get through scene after scene after scene of him bawling his eyeballs out. IDK if they used fake tears or if little dude really can just cry like that on cue, he definitely pulled the tears out in The Devil Judge as well, so maybe dude is just a good crier. He did really well at giving each personality its own, well, personality. It was almost always super obvious which personality was active, the weird hokey visual clues were probably not necessary. The costume/makeup/hair team did a great job styling each personality to feel like an entirely different person, so when you add in the decent acting on top of that, you almost did feel like you were watching a completely different actor at times.

The story/script was ok. It wasn't great. They spend a lot of time developing certain story arcs that they just drop in the last 10 episodes. There are also some generic inconsistencies...like at one point they show Yo Na running through a crowd with her pink blazer on...but then they cut away to everyone else's view and it's still dude in a suit. So you think...oh, the visual changes are more about how he sees himself than how everyone else sees him. But then they proceed to repeatedly contradict that seemingly clever point by intermixing the two lenses to the point where you're honestly never really sure how dude looks to everyone else vs how he looks to himself. At the end they show Yo Na's blazer on it's own, so then you're like...wait so the blazer crowd scene was or wasn't in his head.... It's like the writers/director couldn't decide what their vision was so just tossed a little bit of everything in and hoped no one would look too closely. It was pretty distracting for me.

There were also a few EXCEPTIONALLY cringey lines from Shin Se Gi early on....like I get he's a personality that's sort of forever stunted in the teenage male angst stage, he perceives everything as dramatic and intense, waiting for his lost love to return. But come on....the initial watch scene was hardcore like walk away level cringe to the degree I felt embarrassed for the actor lol. Some of the costume choices were cringe to the max as well, like the secretary dude having a man-bun at the end, I visibly shuddered.

The music was ok for 2015...though there are some scenes with this wildly mismatched sort of full orchestra elevator music early in the drama. The cinematography was pretty standard for 2015....but man those random weird special effects kept popping up here and there as the drama went on. In the beginning dude had glowy laser eyes every time he changed, with the color of the laser matching the personality that appeared...then they stopped doing it for awhile....then they did it again....then stopped for awhile...dude, it went on like that the whole drama. Zero consistency. At the end, instead of laser eyeballs they'd change the color tone of the shot to indicate a personality was coming out. Like...ok...you've READ the script right, and you have a concept going in, IS HALFWAY THROUGH THE DRAMA REALLY THE RIGHT TIME TO EXPIRIMENT WITH OTHER CONCEPTS??

Overall, it was an ok drama with a sub-par script and very well done acting. I watched it through to the end basically only for the acting. It was a bit of a chore, and I wasn't chomping at the bit to get to the next episode, but I made it through and I don't regret the time I spent. I would never be able to sit through it again, but it was decent enough if there's nothing else you're interested in watching at the moment.

I'll don't usually write reviews on MDL, but since I'm starting to get about into watching Asian drama after three-four year hiatus, I'll might as well because this is the first drama I'll got back into after my hiatus since I'll heard many good reviews about it and I'll might as well give it a try. Now, that I'll finish watching it, I'll can finally say that this is my favorite Korea drama of all time after Master's Sun.

Story:
The main description of this drama got me into watching this drama: "The male lead suffers from multiple personality disorder that span into several different personalities." I'll like how the disorder shown in the drama is original unlike the other dramas and movies I'll seen with personality disorder. For instance, each of the seven personalities seen to span in different genres: Perry Park and Yo Na is comedy. Yo Sub and Nana is tragic, Shin Se Gi is action/thriller and Mr. X is mystery. I'll like how each of them contain many moments once they appear in a episode and also their characters develop along the way.  Also, the storyline between the main leads is huge mystery that keeps you guessing for more and contains many twists that you never expect in the second half of the drama. Not only that I'll love the chemistry between the main leads, but also the brother-sister relationship with Oh Ri Jin and Oh Ri On, Oh Ri Jin's relationship with her parents and the relationship with Cha Do Hyeon's personalities.

Acting:
Ji Sung's acting in this drama wants me to get started watching his other dramas and movies. The way he portrays the different personalities such as changing his voice and character makes all of them seem realistic and feels like their were actual people. The scenes where he portrays each of the personalities were never out of character and you feel emotional drawn to them.  Once a personality leaves, it makes you want more scenes with them and hoping their appear in another episode.  Also, his real character, Cha Do Hyeon has emotional moments  and it shows how much he suffers through his family and his disorder.

Hwang Jung Em is amazing portraying Oh Ri Jin. At the first few episodes, she can easily run you off as annoying, but once you get to learn more about her as the story develops, you realize that she is suffering the same way as Cha Do Hyeon. Her chemistry with Ji Sung was amazing since I'll saw them together in their last drama, Secret which is also a good drama and has many amazing moments between them.

Park Seo Joon, who is Oh Ri Jin's brother were also able to portray his character well and his sibling relationship with Oh Ri Jin really connects with you and hoping they have a perfect relationship toward the end. He have funny moments between his sister and Yo Na, one of the personality who has a huge crush on him.

The side characters in the drama were also amazing especially Secretary Ah and the good and bad side of each of the main lead's families really portray their characters well.

Music:
The music is this drama was amazing and it suits well in every scene especially the emotional moments in the drama.

Rewatch Value:
There were be a time in my life where I'll might rewatch this drama again once I'll get finish watching other dramas, but I'll will come back to watch my favorite scenes in the drama once in a while.

Overall:
This drama is amazing and became my favorite drama. I'll highly recommend this drama for anyone who is looking for a drama that will put you on the edge of your seat with the mystery, make you cry with the emotional moments and also make you laugh with the comedy. Honestly, this is the drama that you must put in your "plan to watch" on your watchlist.
